"What we observe is not nature itself, but nature exposed to our method of questioning." Werner Heisenberg

Blue Iris is the color of the year, this brand new year of 2008.

How can I be so certain?

The color experts at Pantone told me so. Color is their business, and business is good. Read their release here.

How does this relate to what you do for a living?

My thought is it's all about being au courant (i.e., well-informed). We are best served when we understand and come to believe, we all are in the business of fashion. Fashion defined as...

the latest and most admired style

It's about currency and how fashion forward you have the courage and smarts to be. Rule taker > Rule breaker > Rule maker. Choose one, carefully.

Fashion statement: Four features did over $300 mil in 2007. Spider-Man 3, Shrek the Third, Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix just missed with $292 mil. Interesting, four of the top five are franchises. As The Old Scotchman often said "People don't know what they like but they like what they know." (Thanks to BoxOfficeMojo)
